Mail For Exchange and Nokia E71

We cannot use the latest version of Mail For Exchange (current version is 2.9.158 S60 3.1 HS). The problem is that MfE will just keep being unable to connect to the Exchange server. This definitely is a bug.

As far as I know, the only working version for Nokia E71 is Mail For Exchange 2.7.0 S60 3.1 which you cannot get it from Nokia's official site anymore.

I did a lot of Googling until I found this working version which you can get it from here

After a frustrating time trying to install Mail for Exchange using the latest 2.9 file, I found this article, downloaded the 2.7 and it works! Can't believe that Nokia have let this go with no acknowledgement.

Thanks
Bob

Hi,

I have a E71 and am trying to sync my corp email on my phone using mail for exchange. When I synchronise, I get a message stating it is connected, but immediately after I get an error message stating Connection error, please try again later. I am at my wits end in resolving this. I have tried every possible option. Please help.

Note: I read somewhere on the net that PC suite is not required for mail for exchange, so I tried removing it, but not able to

Can you use Microsoft Outlook to connect to your Exchange Server from outside your office?
